I was happily using Find My Font 3.4.00 until I upgraded from macOS 14 Sonoma to macOS 15 Sequoia. It kept quitting before I could find my font, but at least it could get an image of the screen. I upgraded to 3.4.02 and now when I try to get a screen image I get the desktop background, nothing else—just a stand of sequoias. Yes, I did give it permission to access video and audio. What do I do now? Did I make a mistake in initially allowing it to bypass something or other and access the screen directly?

Since 3.4.02 turned out to be useless, I added a few digits to the app filename and reinstalled 3.4.00. Now 3.4.00 doesn't crash nearly so often. I guess that's s sort of fix. A real fix would be a more recent update.

Hi everyone,

If you’ve experienced startup freeze issues with recent macOS versions, we’re happy to let you know that we’ve released an update: FindMyFont v3.4.05.

This update resolves the startup freeze issue reported by some users on the latest macOS releases. It is specifically built for Intel-based Macs, but it also runs smoothly on Apple Silicon Macs via Rosetta 2, supporting macOS versions up to Tahoe (26).

To download this update, please enter your license number at the following link:
www.findmyfont.com/download/product-update

We are also currently working on the next major macOS version (v4.00), which will include native support for Apple Silicon.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
