Possible Helpful features:

1. On the Baseline Rotation Tool -- have a vertical line attached to the horizontal line to help align slanted characters vertically. Something like: ___|___

2. Currently Selected Letters have a red squares on the upper left. As it is sometimes very hard to select a fully formed letter, it would be convenient to be able to not include that letter to test a scan. Another scan could then include that letter without having to reselect the parts. The red square could be used with a "Do Not Include" option and a green square for "Include This Letter" option.

The No.1 looks like an easy one and yes, I think it will be very useful to have one (or more) vertical guides shown while you align the baseline.
If possible we will try to include it on our next release - in a few weeks.

On the 2nd one, I understand what you need but while this could be a useful feature for advanced users like you, it will make also the UI far more complex for all other users, therefore we have to think carefully if this is something we really want and how to implement it to have minimal impact on casual users life.
